Breadline Challenge

A Cambridge anti-poverty group has been seeing what it’s like to live on thebreadline to raise awareness about food poverty. Volunteers at FoodCycle took part in the annual Breadline challenge which asks people to spend a week living on £2.50 a day for food. Despite government measures announced in last week’s Autumn Budget to help those ‘just about managing’, campaigners say more needs to be done to tackle food poverty.
