Meanwhile informal carers have been highlighted as one of the highest ‘at risk’ groups when it comes to depression and psychological distress. Award-winning research by an Anglia Ruskin University lecturer, in collaboration with the Cambridge Centre for Health Services, found that informal carers experience worse physical and mental health than non-carers. We spoke to psychologist and study lead Dr Charlotte Paddison.
