Pesticides

The government has taken the controversial step of allowing neonictinoid seed treatments to be used on some crops in Cambridgeshire. The pesticide seed treatment was banned across the EU in 2013 surrounding suspicions of the effects it had on bees. However following high numbers of farmers losing their oil seed rape harvest, the ban has been repealed to be used of crops.
