Professor Eske Willerslev – African Descendants

Cambridge researchers have discovered that all present day non African populations are descended from the same single wave of migrants who left Africa around 72,000 years ago. The discovery was made by an international team of academics who carried out the first major genomic study of Aboriginal Australians. Earlier I spoke to senior author Prof Eske Willerslev who holds posts at St John’s College, University of Cambridge, The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the University of Copenhagen.
